Here are the delicious and simple ingredients that you will need for this dish:
- Wild caught salmon filets - I used Alaskan sockeye wild salmon
- Italian peeled tomatoes with their juices - I used Cento San Marzano tomatoes
- Capers
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Onion
- Fresh garlic
- Italian parsley
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Grass fed butter (you could leave the butter out if following a Mediterranean diet plan)

💭 Top tips
I highly recommend that you use the best quality ingredients that you can for this dish. This is why I've listed wild caught salmon, extra virgin olive oil, and grass fed butter.
And be sure to use Italian tomatoes! They truly are so flavorful and really make all the difference in this dish!
🔪 Instructions
Heat the extra virgin olive oil on medium heat in a large skillet. Once the oil is hot, add minced garlic and onion and sauté until softened, about 4-5 minutes.

Add the Italian tomatoes and its juices, and use a wooden spoon to break up the tomatoes. Stir well to combine all of these ingredients.


Now place salmon fillets skin side down, followed by the capers.
Sprinkle the seasoning on top of the fish as well as the tomato sauce.

Reduce the heat to medium-low, and then cover the skillet, and cook for around 5-7 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through.

Remove the lid, add the pieces of butter to various places in the skillet and allow it to melt into the tomato sauce. Finally add the Italian parsley and your dish is now ready to enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 lb wild caught salmon I used wild caught sockeye salmon cut into 3 equal portion sizes
- 14 oz Italian peeled tomatoes I used Cento San Marzano peeled tomatoes
- 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 small onion finely minced (about 1 cup)
- 4 each fresh garlic cloves minced
- 1 tablespoon capers
- ½ ts salt plus additional to taste
- ½ ts black pepper plus additional to taste
- 3 tablespoon grass fed butter cut into several pieces
- 2 tablespoon Italian parsley minced
