Whipped Goat Cheese With Lemon Thyme Honey in a green bowl which also contains a cracker, carrot stick, and slice of cucumber.

Hey there goat cheese lover! Here you'll find a superbly creamy and delicious goat cheese recipe inspired by a whipped goat cheese dip that I enjoyed at Boards & Barrels Bistro And Whiskey House in beautiful Woodland Park, Colorado.

This tangy goat cheese spread was served as part of a Shareable Board which included various sausages, other cheeses, pickled vegetables, crackers, and bread slices.

My husband and I both agreed that the Whipped Goat Cheese With Lemon Thyme Honey was the standout item on the board!

I had to try my hand at recreating this amazing whipped goats cheese dish at home because I'm all about travel, food experiences, and love recreating restaurant favorites at home.

So, please read on for the ingredients you will need to make this easy recipe for a sweet, tangy, and herbed goat cheese spread!

The ingredients for Whipped Goat Cheese With Lemon Thyme Honey displayed in bowls containing lemon zest, lemon juice, honey, goat cheese, and thyme.

You only need a few simple ingredients to make this easy goat cheese recipe:

  • Goat cheese - select a plain goat cheese, I used Chavrie brand
  • Fresh thyme - fresh herbs elevate most every dish!
  • Lemon zest
  • Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Honey

These 5 ingredients combine to make such a delectable spread that you will want to pair with every single carrot or celery stick you ever eat in your life!

So let's take 5 minutes to make this lusciously creamy and delicious goat cheese!

🔪 Instructions

Remove the goat cheese approximately 15 minutes prior to preparing this dish, to allow it to come close to room temperature.

Combine all of the ingredients (goat cheese, lemon juice and lemon zest, honey, and thyme) in your food processor.

Process the mixture until your goat cheese is light and whipped to the consistency that you desire. You'll need to scrape down the sides of the food processor bowl from time to time while processing.

Add a little more goat cheese if you want to thicken up your dish, or add a bit more lemon juice to thin it down to your liking.

And that, my friends, is all there is to making this delicious whipped goat cheese dish!

Suggestions For Serving

Remove and place your easy appetizer in a pretty serving bowl, drizzling with more honey and garnishing with extra thyme leaves on top of the goat cheese.

FAQ

How should I store this whipped goat cheese?

Store your whipped goat cheese in an airtight container in your refrigerator, and enjoy within 3 days.

Can I use a hand blender or stand mixer instead of a food processor to make this recipe?

Feel free to use a hand blender rather than a food processor to make this whipped goat cheese. It's not advisable to use a stand mixer to make this unless you double the quantities of the ingredients, simply because the stand mixer will be easier to use with a larger volume of ingredients.
