  • Preheat your oven to 450F or per your pre made pizza crust/base instructions. If using a pizza stone place it in the oven to preheat as well.
  • Combine the pizza sauce ingredients (pizza sauce, garlic, and gochujang) and set aside.
Glass bowl filled with minced garlic, gochujang, tomato sauce, and a spoon in the bowl.
  • Prep the toppings ready for placing on your pizza dough. The toppings are the kimchi, mozzarella, green onions, and pork belly or Polska Kielbasa.
White mixing bowl covered with plastic wrap, a large jar of kimchi, the edge of a blue bowl with gochujang, a white plate topped with slices of mozzarella, diced kimchi, pork belly, and green onions.
  • Roll out your dough OR place your pre made crust/base down and spread the pizza sauce combination evenly over it.
Uncooked pizza base topped with tomato sauce and garlic.
  • Place the toppings on the pizza: mozzarella, then kimchi, green onions, and Polska kielbasa (or pork belly) if using.
Uncooked pizza base topped with slices of mozzarella, diced cooked pork belly, diced kimchi and green onions, and a tomato sauce.
  • Place the pizza on your pizza stone or tray/baking sheet. If using a thin crust bake for around 13-15 minutes until the dough is cooked and the mozzarella is brown and bubbly! Keep checking to ensure it is not burning and it is cooking evenly. If using a pre made crust/base, then please cook according to package directions.

Notes

Enjoy this Kimchi Pizza bursting with gorgeous umami flavor!
Highly recommended that you drizzle a bit of sesame oil on top for the perfect finishing touch!
If you are watching your salt content, please consider the following:
  • Use a pizza sauce or tomato sauce that is low salt or no salt
  • Omit the gochujang which is added to the tomato sauce OR reduce the amount
  • Reduce the amount of kimchi that is called for in this recipe, or be sure to choose kimchi that is not overwhelmingly salty. My mom has a diet that restricts salt, so she has to rinse some of her kimchi. It is an option if you have to watch your salt...but unfortunately won't taste the same!
